In the summer of 2016 Annelien flew to Nepal with the Flying Cabinet Makers, a charity organisation that makes furniture in third world countries that are troubled by natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes. Together with 9 other volunteers she made school furniture with local people in an area that was hit by an earthquake. They lived and worked for one month at the epicenter of the earthquake and with local aid and materials we made schoolbenches. Prior to our intervention children sat on the floor at school. When we finished we left our tools and materials for the locals to continue.
